PMY 25cc OFF SHORE
REPUTATION
North Shore boats has been manufacturing quality fiberglass boats in Perth, Western Australia, since 1957. In the early years the company earned an enviable reputation for building surveyed commercial boats and later it expanded its operations and built recreational pleasure crafts up to 15 meters.
In the mid ‘90s, North Shore boats was steered in a new direction by a talented commercial boat builder and he used North shores good reputation, plus extensive market research to focus on what todays boat owners want tomorrow.
North Shore`s research has developed a new big brother for the extreme fisherman, and this is the PMY 25cc. so the design and construction of the PMY 25cc has raised the bar in offshore performance and safety. That bar has been backed by North Shore`s statement of quality, design and performance.
CONSTRUCTION
Tremendous pressure is placed on the underside of all boat hulls so North Shore has built the hull with cutting edge construction on the PMY25cc to take the punishment even in heavy seas.
Each PMY 25cc hull starts with a lay up of tri-axial and double-bias fibreglass matting. The gelcoat is of the highest quality and is Australian made the same as all our resins. The structure is nothing less than strong throughout using similar building to commercial survey methods, giving a solid hull structure of 24mm thick in the keel, 18mm thick on the chines,12mm thick hull bottom, and 8mm on the hull topsides. This is why North Shore can back it`s statement of quality, Design and performance to ensure that the PMY 25cc gives exceptional offshore performance and safety.
Many boats in any type of sea conditions tend to vibrate severely, which is generally caused by a thinner hull construction. The PMY 25cc performs with minimum flex and vibration in any sea conditions, due to applying a commercial standard layup. Plywood is also used in many boats to form the cockpit floor and add strength. Over time wood rot becomes a problem. To avoid this North Shore applies a 20mm high density foam moulded to the floor to keep the weight down but maintain the hulls structural integrity throughout.
STABILITY
The PMY 25cc has a finely tuned and balanced configuration of length x beam x weight x hull design. What this means is that with Australian standards this boat can carry eight passengers and this makes it a truly stable craft for what ever you may be doing, and with solid construction based on a commercial survey philosophy. North Shore customers who are experienced fisherman say the PMY 25cc is surprisingly stable when two to three keen fisherman working their rods on one side of the boat. When it comes to being sea sick, less rock in a boat is a good boat for fishing. Size is everything, and the PMY 25cc offers deceptively spacious cockpit, plus substantial room for either three fisherman working on one side of the boat or a family of eight enjoying a day of cruising, skiing or just soaking up the sun and enjoying the boating lifestyle.
SAFETY
The height of the internal gunwale is 720mm, which is ideal for fishing. The built in marlem board is a comfortable 650mm long.
LAYOUT
Standard seating is for six people The fishing platform up forward also doubles as a day bed and there is abundant storage from stem to stern , there is dry storage under the consol and under the drivers seat.. The platform up forward also has very good storage under it. To the rear of the cockpit floor there is 420litre fuel tank and a 150litre fish hold. Fishing or picnicking is a breeze with the standard dual purpose bait tank/eski moulded in the front of the consol. An electric toilet can also be fitted in the consol, So this boat can be very versatile when you have anchored at your favourite bay or hideaway.
